Routes and Logistics 2016

Registration Times and Location Registration opens  (at all three locations) at 7am on Saturday, July 23 for all of the routes. This is not a race, so you can leave anytime between 7am and Noon.  Please plan your ride accordingly so that you have completed the ride by 5:00 pm.

7-20-16: Elkhart registration will be ready by 6:30 am, so if you long distance riders want to get a jump start, we’ll be ready.

Those opting for longer distances usually like to get on the road early to allow plenty of time.  We do try to track the longer distance riders, so if you opt out of the longer ride, please let a SAG leader know.

Elkhart Start- all routes 24-44-65-100 miles and NEW! the Family Fun Ride

  1. Are there any recommended campgrounds for tents near Elkhart? I would need to camp Friday night if I want an early start.

  2. Thank you! I will telephone them. I need a tent site, not an RV site. I will drive in from Portage, IN, farther west.

  3. I called the elkhart campground and they do have tent sites without electric.
I also plan to make copies of all the maps and drive over to investigate the routes, and hopefully find and see some of these gardens. And I would like to ride some on the Pumpkinvine Trail. I have never spent much time farther east of Valparaiso, and it seems now is the time to do so.
